Last Supper

I read an article a few years back about the Death row system. I read some alarming statistics regarding the way the justice system works. These statistics could obviously be subjective to help the angle of the article but it did raise some good questions. I’m not sure whether I agree or disagree with the death penalty and this film isn’t about that. This film started out as a film questioning whether the death penalty is conducted fairly across the board or if that is at all possible. I enlisted the help of my writer friend Steve Jones to pen the story and he chose to pen a poem, which for me really worked. This film was also an opportunity to experiment with some different techniques and styles too, mainly using photos to create motion. This film was made using a Canon 450D, 550D, After Effects, Photoshop and edited in FCP.
