Gasp Creative approached Broken Antler to collaborate on making a film for Sally and Salon Services. The brief was simple: create a film that looks amazing, showcase some of the products we'll have available for Christmas but it can't be a cheesy Christmas film. So we devised a plan, found a location and four lovely ladies and boom... Edge Picture Company approached me to direct this film for Capita. The film stars and is voice by employees from Capita. They were brilliant, especially Carley and Vernon who feature in the film. They were very patient and tolerant at being moved about a cold studio floor for hours on end. They knew what they were signing up for but being told what to expect and then dealing with it on the day are two very different things. I meticulously planned the animation pre-shoot as I knew I had just one day to get everything. Using Dragon Stop-Motion, using my own camera kit and reading a lot about how Shynola approached their Coldplay music video "Strawberry Swing' really helped.
